Fiona Chandler

Fiona Chandler is a Jungian analyst and analytic psychotherapist and a member of the SAP. She works in private practice with both adults and young people for long or short term therapy.  In addition to weekly sessions, she can work intensively with individuals seeking deep changes in themselves and in their lives and who wish to attend sessions several times a week. Fiona offers clinical supervision for other therapists, psychologists and counsellors.

At present, Fiona is employed part time in the NHS as a Psychoanalytic psychotherapist. She has many years of experience working in the NHS with adults, children, young people and families.

Fiona is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

She trained as an analyst at the SAP due to the Society’s unique approach. This encompasses the ideas of Jung, Freud, Klein and Object Relations theories together with modern developments in these areas including attachment theory and neuroscience.  Alongside a clinical training, this thinking helps with an understanding of the unconscious mind, the self, anxieties, dreams and the therapeutic relationship.

Fiona has also undertaken training at The Tavistock Clinic, including infant observation and a psychoanalytic understanding of early relationships and their resonance throughout our lives in other relationships.

Fiona practices in Brighton and her consulting room is close to public transport. There is un-metered parking outside.
